Fellow Club Med GM's

Our trip was a hair’s width of not even happening due to Air Canada.  It’s a long story, but to summarize, AC wouldn’t let us on the plane in Toronto until my son got medical clearance from one of their doctors – and they weren't’ available until after take-off.  They denied it had anything to do with autism and were just following procedures for any medical condition. We left a desperate message at 6:30 am to our travel agent Nathalie at Margarita Travel.  Since she’s based in Calgary it was 4:30 am her time... we didn’t expect a call back.  BUT SHE DID!!!  She had a lengthy chat with the AC manager – and in the end we were let on the plane.  Moral of the story – don’t tell Air Canada you have a child with special needs, and if you are going to Club Med – book with Nathalie, unless you can find another travel agent that will call you back at 4:30 am.  She knows everything about Club Med and many GOs personally.  You will not find anyone else who is as knowledgeable about Club Med.

**I booked my travel through a Canadian travel agency called Margarita Travel, and Nathalie, the owner really made the trip more special, requesting a nicer room with a view for our honeymoon, etc. Plus, it was more than $500 less to book through her as opposed to a US travel agency (and the dollar exchange helped too!). Look 'em up on the Internet if you're going, working with her I've made a friend and been put so at ease!!

Club Med GM's! I have been going on Club Med vacations for a number of years. And I usually will go on 2 or 3 of them each year.  Over the course of these years of CM travel, I have used a few different travel agents, and even booked straight through Club Med at first. I ended up trying out Margarita Travel the next time, and I am so happy I did!! I have to say, in COMPLETE HONESTY, Margarita Travel has to be the best of all of them! Nathalie is efficient, professional, nice and has great deals.  She is more of a friend that helps to book your trip than just a travel agent!
